Q: How long will the dried dip last?
A: The dried dips can last for up to 6 months. It is best to check the “best before” date.
Q: What do I mix with the dried dips?
A: We use a combination of mayonnaise, sour cream and cream cheese. If you prefer, you can use just mayonnaise or natural yoghurt, crème fraiche, quark or pureed cottage cheese. We do not recommend salad cream.
Q: Once the dip is prepared, how long will it last?
A: If you use only mayonnaise, it will last up to two weeks in the refrigerator. If you use anything else, check the “use by” date and go by that,
Q: How much does each package of dried dip make?
A: Each package makes one cup, which is 250 ml or 8 oz. If you don’t want to make all of the dip at once, the mix is in a resealable bag, so you can use only as much as you need.
Q: Are the dips homemade?
A: Yes. All of the dried dips are mixed by us to our own unique recipes. We also use no extra additives or preservatives in our recipes unless it is indicated on the label.
Q: What do the different coloured packages indicate?
A: The scarlet boxes indicate hot or spicy dips. The holly green boxes are for herb dips. The aquamarine boxes contain mild dips and the royal blue boxes hold meat/dairy dips. The amethyst boxes contain sweet dips.
Q: How eco-friendly is your business?
A: We are very eco-friendly. All of the materials used in packaging our dips are made from between 75 and100 percent recycled paper. The same goes for the gourmet flavoured popcorn boxes and the envelopes for the hot drink mix are 100 percent recycled. The sample cups we use are made from reed or sugar cane pulp and are bio-degradable within two weeks of disposal. The small wooden gift boxes we sell with a single dip are all made from reclaimed wood. Instead of using ice and wasting water, we use re-freezable ice cubes.
